Terms of use

What this site is

A directory of businesses that wash area rugs, with a published verification standard. It is an information service. We are not a party to any dealing between you and a business listed here.

What a verification means, and does not

A verification states that on the date recorded, we found published evidence for four specific criteria, and it links to the sources. The standard is here.

It is not a rating, a guarantee of workmanship, an endorsement, a statement about price, or proof of insurance or bonding. It reflects evidence as at the last-checked date and may be revoked.

Check for yourself before you hand over a valuable rug: confirm the business is trading, ask where your rug will be washed, ask whether the work is sub-contracted, and get a written quote. We cannot do any of that for you.

Accuracy

We build entries by reading published sources, and we record what we read along with the date. Businesses change. Information here may be out of date or wrong, and we make no warranty that it is complete or current. Tell us and we will fix it.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape this site, copy the directory in bulk, or republish our listings or verification records as your own dataset. Do not use the forms to send commercial solicitations, to submit another party's details, or to automate submissions. Do not misrepresent a verification status, including your own.

The site's text, structure and badge designs are ours. Business names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners.

Badges

Use of a badge is governed by the badge terms.

Liability

This site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for loss arising from use of the site or from any dealing with a business listed here, including damage to a rug. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We link to businesses' own websites so you can check our sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them. Outbound links to listed businesses carry rel="nofollow"; a link here is not an endorsement and is not intended to pass ranking signals.

Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page.
