This notice covers therugregistry.com. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible.
What we collect
From the quote form: your name, email address, optional phone number, ZIP code, and what you tell us about the rug. Plus the page you arrived from and any campaign parameters in the link you followed.
From the business form: your name, email address, optional phone and role, the business you are writing about, and whatever you put in the message and evidence fields.
From every visitor: standard server request data handled by our host, Cloudflare, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. We run no analytics product, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. We set no cookies of our own.
We do not collect photographs through this site.
Why, and what we do with it
A quote request exists to be passed to verified specialists covering your area. That is the entire purpose, and submitting the form with the consent box ticked is what authorises it. If no verified specialist covers your area, we will tell you rather than pass it to whoever is nearest.
A business-form message is used to answer you and to correct our records.
We do not sell your details. We do not rent, syndicate or share them with data brokers, and we will not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

- Specialists verified by us and covering the area in your request.
- Cloudflare, which serves this site and processes the form request in transit.
- Migadu, which hosts our email.

How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and to keep a record of what we passed on and to whom, then deleted. We do not keep a permanent marketing database.
Business listings
Entries in the directory are built from published business information — company name, business address, business phone number, website and services — taken from each company's own site and from public association membership pages. This is business contact information, not personal data about a private individual, and we do not publish the names or personal email addresses of staff even when a source exposes them.
If you are a business and want your entry amended or removed, ask. We will do it without conditions.
Your choices
Email hello@therugregistry.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Say which it is and we will do it.
Children
This site is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
Material changes will be noted on this page.
